MyPhillyLawyer’s Dean Weitzman will host his weekly Court Radio show tomorrow morning, Sunday, at 7 a.m. on a very important topic — “What You Need to Know If You Are Involved in a Car Accident.”
Court Radio is broadcast every Sunday at 7 a.m. on WRNB 100.3 FM in the Philadelphia metropolitan area or listen live over the Internet. Click the “Listen Live” button on the top right to hear the live broadcast from anywhere.
Weitzman will remind listeners of a wide range of tips to keep in mind, from ensuring that a police report is accurately filed to taking photographs of the accident scene, even if all you have with you is your cell phone camera.
Listeners will also be reminded to take down all of the personal information on all other involved drivers, including names, addresses, phone numbers, vehicle and driver license numbers, vehicle details including model, year, color and damages, as well as names and contact information for any witnesses.
Being involved in an auto accident can be an incredibly stressful event and it’s good to think of collecting these kinds of details ahead of time so you are prepared in an emergency.
It’s also a great idea to keep a “vehicle accident emergency kit” in your vehicle, with basic first aid supplies, a pencil and writing pad to write accident details and even pre-printed accident report forms available from your insurance company. We here at MyPhillyLawyer also can provide you with a printed accident reporting packet if you request it.
Don’t be caught unprepared. Protecting your legal rights by ensuring that a clear, complete and accurate record of the accident will be important to you and your family to ensure that you are adequately compensated for your injuries and damages in the future.
So listen in tomorrow at 7 a.m. on WRNB 100.3 FM with attorney Dean Weitzman to learn what you need to know to be safer if you are involved in a vehicle accident.
